OR ID [ORganic IDentity] is the production of the ROZBARK Theater, combining contemporary dance with a live sound layer. The invitation to participate in the project was accepted by a young beatboxer from Bytom – Dominik “Domix” Franusik. In the course of cooperation between a team of dancers and a musical performer, answers to questions about the relationship between movement, sound, breathing and the body arise. ORganic IDentity – organ performance in biological duration. The basis for improvisation, and consequently for new, stage discoveries, is eclecticism, multicolor, progressivity and flexibility of the beatbox culture. Mistakenly associated only with the hip-hop scene, for the first time it has a chance to appear in a completely new environment – the microcosm of contemporary dance theater. Just like the onomatopoeic nature of beatbox, where sounds are born not only in the area of ​​speech organs, but also in the whole body – from the diaphragm, lungs, to the larynx, nostrils, tongue – contemporary dance also explores the body as such, its weight, possibilities, tensions and biological characteristics of a given organism.
